There are many ways that you can help out as parents. The Squadron is run by a small number of dedicated volunteers who put a lot of time and effort into running the Squadron, organising Parade nights, running the training, arranging events, etc. They always appreciate help.
How you can help…
Adult volunteers – do you have a skill or hobby that might be of interest to the cadets? You can come along and help for all or part of the night, on a regular or infrequent basis.
Events and activities – maybe you would just like to help at fund-raising events, or camps? We are always grateful for such help. The Squadron relies on fund-raising so any help is appreciated.
Staff – perhaps you are interested in joining the staff as either a non-uniformed Civilian Instructor (C.I.) or by joining the uniformed staff. You don’t need any special skill or trade. The ATC provides training opportunities for staff too.
Committee – would you like to contribute to the future of the Squadron by assisting the Committee? The committee plays an integral part in the running of Squadron affairs and in looking after the welfare of the cadets.
Recruitment – we are always on the look-out for new members. Please mention us to your friends. Perhaps their children would enjoy the excitement and adventure of the ATC. Please mention our web site where contact details can be found.
Come and see us – why not just pop in on parade night and see your child enjoying cadets. Meet the staff. Ask questions. Read the literature or watch a recruitment video to gain a better understanding of the Air Cadets.
