Ijzer March Update

The squadron’s Ijzer March team is in Belgium for the 4 day march which takes place starting Wednesday 19 August to Saturday 22nd.
Day 1
Hottest day of the year at 34 degrees. Successful day but team may have to consider doing 16k rather than 32k tomorrow due to severe temperatures.
Day 2
38 degree temperatures meant that the entire team did the 16k walk. Mobile phone photo arrived of the team wearing their When You Wish Upon A Star T Shirts (above).
Day 3
Today the team completed the full 32k and also went to the German wreath-laying cemetery. All well for the final day tomorrow (Sat).
Day 4
Success! The team have reported that they have completed the march and are having a well-deserved drink and meal. Homeward-bound tomorrow. More news when the team return.
