Love in a Box
Thanks to Sergeants Amy Smith and Sophie Lincoln who organised a collection for the ‘Love In A Box’ appeal which the Squadron first came to hear about when attending the Battle of Britain parade at Plumtree Church and felt that they should support the appeal.
Cadets had to fill a shoebox with gifts and useful items for teenagers of a similar age to them in Eastern Europe. Children with HIV, Aids and those who are incurably ill, to quote the charity – “the poorest of the poor”. The Commanding Officer, Flight Lieutenant Frost RAFVR(T) said “Once again the cadets have made us proud. They filled 32 shoeboxes with gifts and hopefully they have brightened up the lives of teenagers much less fortunate than themselves”.
