Presentation Evening 2009
Our cadets were once again a credit to the squadron and the ATC. Congratulations to those that won awards and promotions. If you didn’t win anything, don’t worry, your time will come. The Presentation Evening was the most successful ever with 140 cadets, parents, staff and guests attending the plush new venue in Nottingham. A three course meal was enjoyed by all then, following a short video which showed the various events held in 2008, the presentations were handed out by the CO Flt Lt Frost and other dignitaries, including Sqn Ldr Pass, Wing Co Dickinson and Air Vice Marshall Turner.
Mr Brian Wells was thanked for his donation towards the Ijzer March and members of the Rempstone Steam Fair committee handed over a cheque to the Squadron for helping out at last year’s event. The audience was even ‘serenaded’ by the Ijzer team choir ‘singing’ their marching version of Jerusalem, although luckily no-one left at that point! Thanks to parents for attending and to Tollerton Parish Council for the loan of the PA equipment. Click on the image to view the photos of the event.
