Presentation Evening Report
Our annual Presentation Evening took place on 26th January 2007 at the West End in West Bridgford. The night was a great success, thanks to a lot of hard work by the Committee and Staff in planning the event.
Over 130 people packed into the venue, including cadets, staff, parents and dignitaries from the ATC. Special guests, included the Rev. and Mrs Wainwright from Tollerton Church who had some very kind words to say about the Squadron.
Presentation Evening is a special occasion when cadets who have worked hard throughout the year, receive their awards and promotions from the Wing Commander of the South and East Midlands Wing.
Among the awards handed out are, for example, best Cadet, best NCO, best Probationer. There are awards for sports, shooting, radio and many other categories. Some lucky Cadets are awarded promotions which means they will be taking on more responsibility to go with their ‘stripes’!
Presentation Evening also gives parents the opportunity to show their support for the cadets and the hard work they put into the ATC. They also have the opportunity to meet the staff and find out more about what we do in the ATC.
We hope that everybody enjoyed the slap-up 3 course dinner too!
