Cadets and Staff of 2425 (Nottingham Airport) Squadron avoided the Christmas shopping and journeyed instead to visit the Royal Armouries- Britain’s national museum of arms and armour. On display were over 8,500 objects from the earliest weapons and armour of pre history through medieval suits of armour to the 20th Centaury.
Many of the displays were interactive, allowing Cadets to get to handle the armour. Historic weapons were adapted to electronic arcade style target ranges. With cries of the ‘sights’ being out from the C.O. and others bemoaning the wearing the wrong glasses, FS Woodier took the day.
